Language Access and Resident Engagement
The Language Access Division provides a variety of services to ensure proper language accessibility at the BHA, such as:
- Interpretation and translation services
- Assessing language needs among BHA applicants, residents, and participants
- Building capacity for language resources and training of volunteer interpreters
- Coordinating language services across BHA departments
- LEP (Limited English Proficiency) policy training and support
- Monitoring for LEP policy compliance issues
Requests for interpretation and translation services are handled by BHA staff. To request an interpreter for a BHA appointment, please contact your BHA Department or your Housing Management’s Office.
