IFB 2097-02 Wireless Access Points at Four BHA Sites
The Boston Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for installation of Wireless Access Points at Four BHA sites.
The Project consists of: Reviewing the design documents prepared by BHA, the Contractor shall determine the optimal placement of all equipment and make any necessary field adjustments, as well as procure and install all required equipment across four state-funded developments. The scope of work includes the installation of a total of twenty-three (23) Interior Wireless Access Points (WAPs), four (4) Exterior WAPs, eight (8) Backhaul Antennae, three (3) 24-port Juniper switches, four (5) 48-port Juniper switches, and associated equipment racks, along with all supporting devices, cabinets, cabling, and accessories required for a complete and operational system. This infrastructure will support Wi-Fi internet service in community common areas and management spaces at all four sites.
The base work at Franklin Field includes six (6) backhaul antennas, four (4) interior WAPs, two (2) exterior WAPs, one (1) 48-port Juniper switch, two (2) 24-port Juniper switches, and associated equipment racks.
Add Alternate #1 – West Broadway: Furnish and install two (2) backhaul antennas, two (2) 48-port Juniper switches, associated equipment racks, eleven (11) interior WAPs, and one (1) exterior WAP.
Add Alternate #2 – Gallivan: Furnish and install one (1) 48-port Juniper switch, one (1) 24-port Juniper switch, associated equipment rack, and five (5) interior WAPs.
Add Alternate #3 – Monsignor Powers: Furnish and install one (1) 48-port Juniper switch, associated equipment rack, three (3) interior WAPs, and one (1) exterior WAP.
The work for all four (4) sites is estimated to cost $270,000. Bids are subject to M.G.L. 30B (1) and M.G.L. 30B (5).
General Bids will be received until 11:00 AM, Monday, July 27, 2026 and publicly opened, forthwith.
All Bids should be delivered to: 52 Chauncy Street, Boston, MA 02111 and received no later than the date & time specified above.

The Contractor and all subcontractors (collectively referred to as “the Contractor”) agree to strive to achieve minority and women workforce participation. The Workforce Participation benchmark is set at 6.9% for women and 15.3% for minorities.

Instructions: Please assemble at Franklin Field. From there, we will continue to Gallivan BLVD., followed by Monsignor PWRS, and conclude at West Broadway.
