Twenty residents gathered today to celebrate the opening of a brand new computer lab at Ausonia Apartments in the North End.

In partnership with the BHA, Ausonia staff and resident leaders, Boston-based internet provider Starry donated five Acer computers and set up the computer lab as part of their Starry Connect program, which helps provide free and low-cost internet access to residents living in affordable and public housing across the United States.

Two months ago, Starry provided Ausonia residents with free WiFi as part of the Starry Connect program launch. The new computer lab creates a viable option for residents who do not own and may not be able to afford their own computers.
