User friendly and more interactive website will better serve BHA applicants, residents and landlords
Boston – Boston Housing Authority Administrator Bill McGonagle is pleased to announce the launch of a new BHA website. The new site is intended to better serve the BHA’s key customers including its public housing and Section 8 residents, applicants and landlords.
“We’re very much looking forward to moving from an old, outdated website to one that is dynamic and provides our residents and applicants with simple, direct links to the information they need,” said McGonagle. “Feedback is always welcome through our new online comment/request form.”
The new site features a housing search tool to help guide applicants in their search for housing, a new apartment listing whereby landlords interested in renting to BHA Section 8 voucher holders can list and market their available rentals, and through which voucher holders can search for apartments. The site also links to the BHA’s Facebook and Flickr pages and Constant Contact, where interested persons can sign up for automatic email alerts for job and bid postings, news, and open public comment periods regarding BHA policies. Questions or comments can be sent to us through our new online form as well.
The BHA has a number of exciting initiatives and programs underway, such as the Whittier Choice Plan for Transformation and opportunities through our Building Pathways program. Visit our news page to find out more about BHA initiatives and programs underway.
In addition, the BHA will be implementing portals for landlords, residents and applicants in the near future that will allow individual account capability and information sharing.
