BHA’s Lynda Goler, the manager of the Mildred C. Hailey Public Housing development in Jamaica Plain, was awarded the 2023 Neighborhood Watch Unit Community Service Award for her efforts to improve public safety in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood.

Lynda co-leads a weekly task force meeting with the E-13 community services office to identify and monitor safety concerns in and around The Mildred C. Hailey development (MCH).

She participates in the Theory of Crime Prevention by Environmental Design and routinely organizes and manages beautification projects in and around MCH.

Lynda has also been significant voice in the push for improved security in and around the MCH development including cameras.

She works in tandem with the E-13 community services office and often connects individuals and families to services related to addition, mental health, domestic violence and other family issues.

With tenacity and compassion, her dedication to improving both the safety and quality of life for the residents who live at Mildred Hailey is second to none.
