Housing Programs
The Boston Housing Authority (BHA) provides Boston residents with stable, quality and affordable housing. There are two housing options for qualified low-income families and individuals.
About nine percent of Boston’s residents live in housing supported by BHA (Public Housing and Section 8/Leased Housing) – making BHA the largest landlord in Boston! BHA provides safe homes for qualifying low-income families, the elderly and persons with disabilities. Most qualifying residents are low-income. BHA offers programs specifically designed for the elderly and non-elderly disabled.
The BHA welcomes diversity among race, ethnicity, religion, age, disability status, languages spoken, immigration/refugee status and family status.
