BHA Policies Currently Out for Public Comment

The BHA currently has several policy documents out for public comment. Click on the links below for additional information regarding each new proposal.
Elder Advantage/Designated Housing Plan: for federally funded elderly/disabled public housing developments, the plan governs the percentage of elderly and non-elderly disabled households living in BHA’s 36 federal elderly/disabled public housing developments located throughout Boston.
Public comment period: November 8 - December 23
Public hearing: December 15 at 11:00 a.m. in Training Room at 125 Amory Street, Jamaica Plain

Five-Year Plan: providing information about the agency’s challenges, opportunities and strategy for handling operations, programs, and services in a way that maximizes our ability to best serve our low-income residents, the plan governs the agency’s strategic focus for the years 2015-2019.
Public comment period: November 1 – December 15
Public hearing: December 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Boston Public Library and 6:00 p.m. at Boston City Hall

Section 8 Administrative Plan: the BHA has proposed several changes to our Housing Choice Voucher Program Administrative Plan which governs the Section 8 program.
Public comment period: October 17- December 1
Public hearing: November 19 at 6:00 p.m. at 125 Amory Street, Jamaica Plain
