BHA Takes Part in 2017 Boston Haitian Housing Fair

Boston Housing Authority joins other agencies to give more information to the Haitian community about housing options in Massachusetts for the second year.

On Saturday, May 7, Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services and the Massachusetts Association of Haitian Parents partnered with the Boston Housing Authority, the Boston Home Center and MASS Housing, to put together an event, that helped families and individuals find out more about housing programs in Boston and Massachusetts. This event was held at the Boston Haitian Housing Fair for the Mattapan Community.

Many thanks to the BHA Occupancy Department staff and volunteer interpreters who assisted. Over 50 families from the community received information and participated in the housing application process! Congratulations to Pastor Keke Fleurissaint and to Ms. Ruth Georges (Mayor’s Office Haitian Community Liaison) for organizing another successful housing informational event for the Haitian community in Dorchester and Mattapan.

We'd also like to acknowledge the donors, BMC Health Net Plan, for donating 200 bags of fresh produce from Fresh Trucks to our families and Strategic Staffing Solutions for the best swag bags.

See some photos from the event below, or view them all on our Flickr page.
