Northeastern University BHA Scholars Program

The BHA is excited to partner with Boston's own Northeastern University to offer a full-tuition scholarship for BHA Public Housing residents (including Hope VI Sites). Please note: Leased Housing/Voucher Holder residents are not eligible for the scholarship.

Check out this informational flyer in English and Spanish.

The scholarship is available to recent high-school graduates looking for a traditional undergraduate bachelor's degree program, or students of any age interested in a bachelor's completion program through the College of Professional Studies (CPS).  CPS offers flexible options for learners, including online and evening class options, and fall, spring, summer start dates.  The CPS application process is explained here, and you can reach out to the CPS Admissions team by completing their general contact request form.

Verification of BHA Public Housing residency does not guarantee you will receive the scholarship. You must also meet Northeastern's admission criteria. BHA does not decide who will receive the scholarship.

After submitting the verification request, BHA Staff will review the information to verify if you are eligible and email the letter directly to Northeastern. You will also receive a copy of the letter for your files. You do not need to submit the letter to Northeastern.

If you are not sure if you are a BHA Federal or State Public Housing resident or in HOPE VI property, look up your building here: https://bostonhousing.org/en/Housing-Communities/Housing-Community-Search.aspx. For questions, email bhascholars@bostonhousing.org.
